My Grandma

This lovely Southern Belle is my grandma, Ethel Clyde Hinely.
I like to remember her baking her famous Raisin Bread and Cinnamon Rolls. I wish I had learned to bake like that.
She also made us girls hand-smocked dresses. I remember seeing her sit at her old pedal Singer sewing machine. I was fascinated by that foot pedal.
She was witty and always had a joke or a come-back. I loved her dearly and I still miss her.

My grandmother was born in 1900 and died in 1976, and I often think about how much the world changed in her lifetime. She was the most godly woman I've ever known.

Mm, you took me down memory lane... :)
