"Mr. Scratchy" and the Oreo Mustache

We went to the orthodonist yesterday and"Mr. Scratchy" got spacers. (The first step toward braces.) This is not great for anyone, but if you have a child with SID (Sensory Integration Disorder), this is a BIG BIG deal. He has done nothing today but complain and threaten to pull them out. I know they probably are a little irritating, after all, the purpose is to shift the teeth to make space, but ,Gee Whiz ! take your aspirin and get on with it. You'd think he was 3 not 12. Oh, and speaking of being 12, the boy is sprouting a MUSTACHE !!! Not a blond peach fuzz thing, but a BLACK FIVE O'CLOCK SHADOWY THING!!! I told him to go wash his face and he came back. I sent him to the bathroom again. "Wash your mouth, you have chocolate milk all around it!" "Mama, I can't wash that off, it's growing there." "What??!!!" I mean , where did that thing come from??? Literally overnight. Uhhhhhhh............... I am not ready for this, He's my BABY ! He's getting a mustache for Christmas ! I'm getting Menopause !
